Linger, as covered by Dresage
Cover songs are a difficult beast to deal with – it’s so easy to fuck them up or make them sound cheesy – and even more so when put together in a rush to create a tribute to a recently deceased artist. Fortunately Dresage had apparently been working for quite some time on this incredibly refreshing version of The Cranberries’ “Linger”. And it shows. There’s more than a few twists in this version that quite possibly make it better than the original. And in doing so they’ve achieved one of the toughest musical feats.
