Weekly Browsing Wrap-Up

So here’s the best of my week in browsing:

Messages from the Sports Racers – an online community built around The Show with Ze Frank. Some heartfelt goodbyes as Ze draws to the end of his year of videoblogging.

Blade Runner – Wired Magazine’s profile of Oscar Pistorius, the double amputee sprinter from Pretoria, South Africa, who is on pace to run the 200- and 400-meter sprints fast enough to earn a spot on South Africa’s Olympic team. That’s Olympic(!!), not Paralympic…

The LapDawg – a revolutionary, ergonomic, portabls and easy to use laptop desk which they won’t ship to South Africa. (Believe me, I asked)

George Lange’s 2006 Portfolio – Creative photographic genius. (Via: Strobist)

The Lulu Blooker Prize, where our very own (as in South African) Tertia Albertyn’s “So Close” Book/Blog is one of the finalists. This is BIG. She stands alongside the likes of Seth Godin and Post Secret for this one.

Desktop Tower Defense. Not easy this one, and it will suck up your Friday arvie if you’re not careful.
