I Own The Best

The Best English and Afrikaans Rock albums for 2006 that is.

Fokofpolisiekar took the South African Music Award for Best Rock Album: Afrikaans with Swanesang (or kalahari.net), and Cassette took the Best Rock Album: English for ‘Welcome Back To Earth‘ at Saturday’s awards ceremony.

Chris Chameleon also walked away with a SAMA for Best Adult Contemporary Album: Afrikaans for his album 7de Hemel.

The one I am missing though is Lark‘s Razbliuto which took the award for Best Alternative Music Album.

Congrats to all you guys – you deserve it.

Time for me to go shopping at Rhythm Records.
