Paul Newman vs The Demons
An unexpected rock gem from The Avett Brothers’ new album – The Carpenter:
With any purchase of Arcade Fire’s new album “The Suburbs” from arcadefire.com, you also now get a digital version of the album (.m4a files) with visuals related to each song, lyrics & contextual hyperlinks.
See this video for what I’m talking about:

Pretty cool, huh? Why more bands don’t do this I’ll never know. Then again, it is typical for Arcade Fire to lead the pack.
“This is an album by The Black Keys. The name of this album is Brothers.”
If you don’t know American blues-rock duo The Black Keys yet, you’re sure missing out on something special. It took all of thirty seconds listening to the first track off the new album “Brothers”, due out May 18, for me to get hooked right back into their raw, catchy, we’re-so-ridiculously-fucking-cool-you-can’t-handle-it sound. You can preview the entire album online now: Click here to listen to The Black Keys on NPR.org.
With production input from Danger Mouse (quite literally the Midas of the music scene right now), you know it has to be spectacular. This is definitely one for the LP collection.
Dear Shakira (and Freshlybackground),
Go hop back into your wolf-cage. Arrrooooooooo!
We already have a theme song for the FIFA World Cup that sounds way better than the WAKA KAKKA piece of crap you’ve come up with.
It’s got waay more spirit and fire and a true African feel, and yes, it’s performed by an African!!
I must say I’m hella confused tho. Does anybody else want to do a FIFA theme song? How many do we get?
Another FIFA fuckup?
